About Me
Hi! My name is Devin Basinger and I am so excited to be a part of the awesome first grade team here at John Rex! I am ready to accompany my students in their journey of discovery and all their ah-ha moments! I can't wait to see how much they accomplish!
I was born in McAlester, OK and I have a sister who is an RN in Pensacola, FL. I danced on the pom squad in high school and in college, where I attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. There I learned about the joys of being a teacher and graduated with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I am certified in Early Childhood and Intermediate Math as well. I moved to OKC last year and taught kindergarten in Midwest City. So, for my fourth year of teaching, I am so excited to spend it here in downtown Oklahoma City and so intrigued to be able to utilize all of the resources here.
